1. Service Description

Avenue Locksmith provides professional locksmith and security services throughout New York City, including but not limited to:

  • Emergency lockout services (residential, commercial, and automotive)

  • Lock installation, repair, and replacement

  • Key duplication and rekeying services

  • Smart lock setup and access control installation

  • High-security lock installation

  • Security consultation and upgrade recommendations

  • 7-day locksmith service from 10 AM to 11 PM


2. Service Areas

We proudly serve clients throughout Brooklyn, Queens, and Manhattan, including but not limited to:

  • Brooklyn: Flatlands, Williamsburg, Park Slope, Bushwick, Crown Heights, and surrounding neighborhoods

  • Queens: Astoria, Long Island City, Flushing, Jamaica, and surrounding areas

  • Manhattan: Upper East Side, Midtown, SoHo, Lower Manhattan, and more

If you’re outside these areas, please contact us to confirm service availability.


3. Pricing and Payment

3.1 Service Call Fees

  • A service call fee applies to all technician visits

  • After-hours, weekend, or holiday emergency rates may apply

  • Exact pricing will be provided before work begins

  • Additional charges may apply for specialty hardware, locks, or high-security systems

3.2 Payment Terms

  • Payment is due upon completion of services

  • Accepted payment methods: cash, credit/debit card, and digital payments

  • Credit card processing fees may apply

  • Written or verbal estimates are provided before any work begins


4. Response Times and Availability

We strive to arrive quickly — typically within 5–30 minutes, depending on:

  • Your location and traffic conditions

  • Technician availability

  • Weather conditions or peak demand

5. Customer Responsibilities

To ensure safe and effective service, customers must:

  • Provide accurate contact and location details

  • Present valid identification and proof of ownership or authorization for service location or vehicle

  • Ensure safe access to the property or vehicle

  • Be present during the service or designate an authorized representative

  • Make full payment upon completion of work

  • Inform the technician of any relevant security systems or building protocols


6. Proof of Residence or Authorization

To protect customer safety and prevent unauthorized access, Avenue Locksmith requires:

  • Residential Services: Valid photo ID matching the service address

  • Rental Properties: Landlord or property manager authorization (if required)

  • Business Properties: Proof of employment or written authorization

  • Vehicle Services: Vehicle registration and valid driver’s license


7. Liability and Limitations

7.1 Service Limitations

  • Access cannot be guaranteed in all situations (especially with high-security locks)

  • In emergency lockouts, minor damage to existing locks may occur as part of the unlocking process

  • Avenue Locksmith is not responsible for pre-existing lock or door damage

7.2 Limitation of Liability

Avenue Locksmith’s total liability is limited to the amount paid for services rendered. We are not liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential damages

  • Lost profits, revenue, or business interruption

  • Damage to contents or property (except when caused by proven negligence)

  • Delays caused by conditions beyond our control


8. Warranty

We stand behind our workmanship and parts:

  • Parts: Manufacturer warranty applies to all locks, hardware, and materials

  • Labor: 30-day limited warranty on installation and repair services

  • Emergency Services: If the same issue recurs within 24 hours, we’ll return at no additional service charge

Warranty exclusions: Damage caused by misuse, tampering, neglect, wear and tear, or environmental factors.


9. Service Guarantee and Refund Policy

At Avenue Locksmith, customer satisfaction is our top priority.

  • Service Guarantee: We guarantee professional workmanship and high-quality service for every job. If you’re not fully satisfied, please contact us within 7 days of service completion so we can address your concern.

  • Rework Policy: If the same issue recurs within our warranty period due to our workmanship, we will send a technician to re-evaluate and fix the problem at no additional cost.

  • Refunds: Refunds are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may be issued if a service was not performed as agreed or cannot be reasonably corrected.

  • Non-Refundable Situations:

    • Completed and approved work

    • Emergency dispatch or diagnostic/service call fees

    • Hardware or locks that have been installed or used

  • Resolution Commitment: Our team will make every reasonable effort to resolve service issues promptly and professionally before a refund is considered.

This policy helps ensure transparency and fairness while maintaining the integrity of our on-site service operations.


10. Cancellations and Rescheduling

  • Cancellations made before technician dispatch are free of charge

  • Cancellations after dispatch may incur a standard service call fee

  • Emergency services are non-refundable once a technician is en route

  • Weather-related or safety-related cancellations will not incur charges


11. Privacy and Data Protection

We value your privacy. Customer information is handled according to our Privacy Policy. We collect and use only the information necessary to deliver services, process payments, and improve user experience.


12. Force Majeure

Avenue Locksmith is not liable for delays or service interruptions caused by circumstances beyond our control, including:

  • Natural disasters or severe weather

  • Government restrictions or emergencies

  • Labor shortages or transportation issues

  • Equipment failure or supplier delays


13. Dispute Resolution

  • We encourage direct communication to resolve service concerns quickly

  • These terms are governed by New York State law

  • Any disputes must be filed in a court of competent jurisdiction in Kings County, NY

  • Both parties agree to attempt mediation or informal resolution before pursuing legal action


14. Modifications to Terms

We may revise these Terms of Service periodically. Updates will be posted on our website with a new effective date. Continued use of our services after changes means you accept the updated terms.


15. Severability

If any portion of these terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.


16. Emergency Service Disclaimer

Please note:

  • Emergency response times are best-effort estimates

  • Rates vary based on service type, time, and location

  • Life-threatening emergencies should be directed to 911 immediately

  • Avenue Locksmith reserves the right to prioritize cases based on urgency and technician availability
